In 2011 a few dedicated students created St. Gallen Model United Nations after one year of work and preparation with the help of the Swiss Youth UN Network (JUNES). Anchored at the University of St. Gallen (HSG), we aim to provide students with a platform that teaches them the basics of the UN and its diplomacy as well as offer an introduction to the world of international diplomacy. We are dedicated to fulfil our ambitions by bringing our past experiences and our different backgrounds to the association.

Following the Model UN tradition created by Harvard 60 years ago, we want to develop a pole of excellence in St. Gallen and benefit from the enormous potential that remains in our University.

St. Gallen Model United Nations offers a unique opportunity to discover the world of the UN, its perspectives, its functioning but also its limits. It aims to provide students with an international politics environment and emphasise the awareness of today and tomorrow’s biggest challenges.
